- Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any section
- Active membership in Scouts & Guides organization for at least 5 years
- Participation in at least two events at National or All India Railways level and two events at State level

- Age relaxations as per government norms for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-servicemen
Selection Process
The selection for this recruitment is conducted in two stages, carrying a total of 100 marks.
1. Written Test (60 Marks)
- Duration: 60 minutes
- Format: 40 objective questions (40 marks) + 1 essay question (20 marks)
- Syllabus: History of Scouts & Guides, Scout Law and Promise, organizational structure, motto, prayer, social services, proficiency badges, general knowledge
- Negative marking of one-third for incorrect answers in the objective section
